Oral Hygiene
The 5 Keys to a Healthier Smile
By Dr. Rajshikha Deka | October 24, 2025
Everyone wants a bright, healthy smile—but great oral health takes daily care and good habits. At Royal Dental Care, we believe prevention is always better than cure.
1. Brush Twice a Day—Properly
Brushing for two minutes, morning and night, with fluoride toothpaste helps remove plaque and bacteria. Use gentle circular motions and replace your toothbrush every 3–4 months.
2. Floss Daily
Flossing removes food particles and plaque between teeth where a toothbrush can’t reach. It’s one of the simplest ways to prevent cavities and gum disease.
3. Maintain a Tooth-Friendly Diet
Limit sugary drinks and snacks that feed cavity-causing bacteria. Instead, eat crunchy fruits, leafy greens, and calcium-rich foods that strengthen enamel.
4. Schedule Regular Dental Checkups
Professional cleanings and exams every six months let your dentist spot early signs of decay, gum issues, or oral cancer before they worsen.
5. Stay Hydrated and Don’t Smoke
Dry mouth increases the risk of cavities, so drink water often. Avoid tobacco—it's one of the leading causes of gum disease and oral cancer.
Remember: Consistency is key. Small daily habits build lifelong oral health!
